Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Talk
Feed Your Senses
--From an
Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Perspective
Description:
The five senses
are connected to our health. When a
person is healthy, he is able to see all colors, taste all flavors, hear all sounds,
and smell all fragrances. From a
Chinese medicine perspective, each sense is dominated by one internal
organ. Abnormal senses, such as ringing
in the ear or blurred vision, are linked to disharmony of the internal
organs. This is one of the diagnostic
methods that Chinese medicine doctors use to treat patients.
In this introductory class, we will briefly discuss the five
senses and their related internal organs.
Then we will focus our discussion on the sense of taste and the
digestive system, because this is the root for obtaining natural weight,
sustaining health and living a long life.
